Food Safety

Running the day-to-day operations of a modern commercial kitchen is a full-time task for food service facility operators and managers. Whether the kitchen is part of a school district feeding children, a hospital nourishing patients, or a restaurant serving patrons, today's kitchen operator must also comply with local and federal food safety guidelines, including a fully-implemented HACCP program. A successful kitchen operation manages each step in the storage, preparation, and serving of food items to minimize the risk of food borne illness and enhance the freshness and taste of the product. E-Control Systems is an integral part of that solution.

With the IntelliSenseTM solution, E-Control Systems enables you to collect all of your temperatures (and other control points) required for HACCP record keeping and simplifies HACCP compliance. Using our IntelliSenseTM product family, you can automatically and effortlessly monitor all of your equipment 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You have the flexibility to monitor a wide array of items based on your custom application, including but not limited to:
  • Walk-In Coolers/Freezers
  • Reach-in Refrigerators/Freezers
  • Holding Units (Hot & Cold)
  • Dishwashers
  • Ovens
  • Dry Storage
  • Cook/Chill Units

A variety of sensor types allows you to monitor not only temperatures but also humidity, door status, and other critical points. All readings are recorded in a central database and if those readings are in violation (too warm or too cold), alerts can be sent to one or multiple people with notification of the problem. The system is battery-operated using wireless sensors that are easily installed, cost effective, and allow you to get up and running quickly.

Using our IntelliCheckTM product line, you can automate your manual temperature and line item checks eliminating messy, hand-written forms. All of your checks are electronically time stamped and sent to the central server for on-the-spot report generation. Checks are configured and made available to fit your application, including but not limited to:
  • Serving Line
  • Cooking Line
  • Hot Holding
  • Cold Holding
  • Checklist and inspection points
